Robert From Next Door | Robert "Bob" Floyd
Tumblr media
Summary: You've lucked out with the perfect neighbor, a kind and overly helpful WSO. He puts up Christmas lights, lends his lawn mower, and grabs your morning paper. But what happens when he's out of peppermint tea one night?
Word Count: 3.6k
Warnings & Notes: Robert "Bob" Floyd x gn!reader, extremely fluffy, food mentions, heavy making out, shirtless Bob, only referred to as Robert for the series, unrealistic expectations of next door neighbors, 18+ as always. This idea hit me like a bus while walking the dog (where I almost was hit by a bus) and has been fully unable to leave my brain since then. Cozy, sweet, overly helpful Neighbor!Bob is literally all I want for Christmas. And he's my holiday present to all of you!
robert from next door | if only the neighbors knew
Tumblr media
“I have a ladder you can borrow.” You look up from the box of Christmas lights you’re detangling in the garage to see your neighbor standing in the opening to the street. Coffee mug in hand as he watches you loop out another knot. He’d noticed your garage open that morning, too early for a Saturday, and came to investigate or possibly offer assistance. If there is one thing Robert Floyd does best, it’s help his neighbors.
You had moved into the tidy bungalow just under a year ago, placing a potted fern on the doorstep and painting over the dated beige walls. It was finally starting to feel like a home. Now with the holidays approaching (as reminded by the entirely too jolly Santas everywhere in town) you were excited to start new traditions in your humble home. And it started with putting twinkling lights on the house, lights currently tangled in the cardboard box you haphazardly threw them in twelve months ago.
Threading out another knot, you give him a playful smile. “How do you know I don’t have a ladder?”
“Lucky guess?” He’s not going to admit he’s scanned and memorized nearly every inch of your garage.
The day after the moving truck came and went, you were thrilled when your first new neighbor rang your doorbell. While you had expected some middle aged woman with a plate of brownies and a plea for babysitting, you were pleasantly surprised at the man in a flight suit (Lt. Robert Floyd according to the stitching) with the striking blue eyes who stood there instead. He didn’t have brownies, but he happily gave you the lowdown on the neighborhood as you sat amongst moving boxes drinking lemonade out of paper cups.
As the months passed, an easy friendship had developed amongst neighbors. In the morning before making his way to base, Robert would scoop up your morning paper and walk it up the seven steps to your porch. The paper boy always threw it short. And despite numerous pleas to leave it be - you didn’t mind the short walk - every morning when you went for the paper, there it sat neatly on your mat along with any misdelivered mail.
And when he wasn’t saving kittens from trees in his free time, Robert was a shining example of a great neighbor. Driving his truck for a trip to get plants at the nursery, lending his mower when yours broke in the heat of July, cleaning your gutters when the leaves fell…you shouldn’t be surprised he’s now offering up his ladder so you can enjoy your Christmas lights. Looking down at the tangled mess, you hadn’t even thought about how you were going to get them actually on the house. Nails? Did you even own nails?
Not even an hour later you’re standing on the sidewalk facing your home with a hot cup of coffee in your chilly hands. Propped up on a ladder with detangled lights in one hand - and a tool belt around his waist like your personal Mr. Fix It - Robert hums to himself as he hammers nails into the trim before wrapping the first strand of lights in place.
You had accepted his ladder graciously, but mentioned you needed to hit the hardware store first for nails. With a nod of his head he left your garage and you continued on the lights. It was a tedious project, but rewarding once the final strand lay flat against the concrete floor. You were digging around in boxes for tools when your neighbor reappeared. He had a ladder and his tool belt, a full box of nails clutched in his large hand. Cheeks warm, you assured him you would buy your own. He let out a playful pfft.
“Nonsense. It’s Saturday, the hardware store will be packed. Consider them an early Christmas gift.”
You couldn’t help but smile. “Let me at least trade you for them? A cup of coffee?”
“Do you still have those Kona beans?” His ocean blue eyes are hopeful.
Your smile widened as you nodded. The overpriced beans you had expensively shipped every month were a favourite of the weapons systems officer. Last month you had hosted the homeowners association meeting (for the first and hopefully only time) and Robert had raved about the coffee you served. He was used to the basic stuff they made on base, his own home brewing not much better. Your coffee was the best.
When you came back to the garage after whipping up a carafe - hot mug in hand - you shouldn’t have been surprised to see your neighbor already up the ladder, deep into the project.
You holler up to him. “Robert, get down! You don’t need to do that!”
But he waves you off, insisting that he had already started and might as well finish the job. He would just drink your delicious coffee once he was done. And so you were relegated to the sidewalk to make sure everything looked straight from the street.
From this distance you could admire him innocently. The military-issue wire frames that catch the morning sun. Broad shoulders under the neat canvas barn coat he recently replaced when the corduroy collar ripped. His strong hands shielded from the chilled wind under his workman’s gloves. Because someone like Robert Floyd follows safety precautions and owns workman’s gloves.
At this angle you can see the slight smile on his lips as he strings lights along your porch. For the next hour you watch him put up lights, him occasionally turning back and asking you how they look.
“Are you sure they’re straight?” You promise him they are, but he meticulously checks his work anyway. He wants your house to look perfect.
The wind has tinged both your cheeks a deep pink and the cold is starting to seep through boots. Robert has nailed the last of your lights to the trim and deemed them faultless. He comes down the ladder and walks to stand beside you to admire his handiwork. Hands on hips - with that damn tool belt still astride his waist - he turns to you beaming at a job well done. It’s impossible not to beam back, thinking how long it would have taken you to do even a job half as good.
“Thank you for putting up the lights. You didn’t have to, but I appreciate it.” He isn’t sure whether your cheeks are red from the cold or something else. “I’m so lucky to have you as a neighbor.”
His smile is permanently stuck at your compliment. He opens his mouth to make a joking comment about the coffee you owe him - anything for more time together - when he feels the telltale buzz in his pocket. Pulling it reluctantly out after shedding a glove, he sees it’s Phoenix and is only semi-annoyed. They have lunch plans, which he’s running late for. And while he’s sure his front seater would approve of him blowing her off for the neighbor he can’t stop talking about, he’s a better friend than that.
Turning back to you, where you’re enjoying your freshly strung twinkling lights, Robert rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. “I have to head out…lunch plans. Rain check on that coffee?”
Nodding through your disappointment, you help him gather up his ladder and assure him that coffee is his whenever he wants.
The following morning you pad toward your front door, eyes bleary from a deep sleep. The house was cold and you pull your robe tighter around you. Through the glass panel in the door you can see your paper on the mat, as always, ready for you to consume over coffee and toast. As you open the oak door and scurry to shut it with the paper secured, something - or rather someone - catches your eye.
Robert stands in the doorway of his own bungalow, calmly watching the neighborhood. The thick fair isle sweater covering his wide shoulders looks incredibly cozy, and he nurses a mug between both hands. He exists in that moment without worry, and you’re envious.
His placid expression is broken when he feels your eyes, turning his head to see you, bedhead and newspaper clutched in your fist. His lips turn in a warm smile and he raises one hand in a slow, friendly wave. Your heart flutters, utterly taken away with how surely he carries himself, how sweetly he treats others. An emotion quickly squashed when you realize you are still standing in a bathrobe and knobby socks, flying back inside and shutting the door with heated cheeks.
As you go about working on your Sunday chores, you keep picturing Robert’s face, that small happy smile you can’t get out of your head.
Later that night, after hours of tossing and turning in the sheets unable to find peace, you finally trudge down the hall into the living room, settling under blankets on the plush couch with a cup of chamomile. You’ve lost details of the plot of the movie you started, brain racing as your fingers fidget with the mug.
The faint trill of your phone on the coffee table breaks you from your thoughts.
“Hello?”
“Hi. It’s Bo-Robert…from next door?” You yawn a hello while checking the clock. It was nearly one in the morning. “I just wanted to check if everything was alright? Noticed your lights were on.”
A warm feeling spreads through your chest at his concern. Picturing him peering out his kitchen window with the striped cotton curtains, filling up his own kettle, distressed that your house lights were on so late. You’d like to think he wore tartan pajamas, neatly buttoned. Those would suit him.
You settle back into the cushions as you reply. “Everything’s fine. Just couldn’t sleep.”
His thoughtful nod can practically be heard through the phone.
“Better question is, what are you doing up so late?”
The whistle and clink of boiling water and china crash over the line. A sigh pulled from his lips before responding. “I was going to make myself a cup of tea while I finished some reports, but appears that I am out.”
You glance down at your own mug of tea. It’s late, but not that late.
“What kind of tea do you like?” He muses on about his lack of preference - an equal opportunity tea lover - before admitting he was looking forward to a cup of peppermint. You make your way to the kitchen, phone pressed to your ear as you both open your cupboards. Your voice feels small as you offer, “I think I might have some.”
A silence lingers on the line. An unspoken late night implication that neither of you knows what to make of it. Your fingers flip through boxes of tea that take up too much cupboard space. Pomegranate, green, oolong. You don’t even drink tea that often. But right as you think you have too many white teas, you see the striped box of peppermint tea, one lone bag waiting for its turn.
You empty the box and walk to the window in your kitchen, where you can see the faint light on through his curtains. You clear your throat. “Look out your kitchen window.”
To your disappointment, Robert does not wear tartan pajamas to sleep. Although you are delighted to see his shirtless chest, defined from years of Navy training. He waves at you through your respective kitchen windows, holding up his mug of hot water. You lift up the tea bag, and his face splits into a toothy smile.
Before you can offer to bring it to him, he’s already turning toward his front door, speaking into the phone, “I’ll be over, just a minute. Need to find my coat.”
By the time there’s a soft knock on the door, you’ve turned on the kettle and gotten a fresh mug for him. You open the door, greeted by the tip of his nose and ears a merry red, the cold kissing his features. He’s been outside all of a minute. You usher your neighbor in, watching him observe how you’ve put up garlands and festive knickknacks in the entry since his last visit.
He slips off his boots, bare feet settling on the cold hardwood, and fingers the collar of his canvas barn coat. In his rush to come over he’d thrown his coat on forgetting his bare chest. It feels obnoxious to be half naked in your home, so he keeps his coat on and follows you to the kitchen.
“Peppermint still good?” You tease, the packet of tea leaves in your hand. He nods, slightly distracted by how cozy you look in your soft loungewear and the robe from this morning. Dunking the bag into the hot water, you search for a topic to pass the steeping time. But when you turn to talk to him, words catch in your throat because he’s right there.
Eyes so blue the sky is jealous. Shy smile so friendly it warms the room. Your thoughts dirtily flit to the tool belt around his waist on the ladder, fingers adeptly wielding a hammer. Fingers that brush yours in the proximity. He’s so close and your brain blanks as bodies simultaneously take action.
Your mouths find each other effortlessly, bodies pressing together as if they know the moves the two of you were just figuring out. The low-lying tension building for the past year breaking the surface as the dark of the house gives you both the bravery needed. His hands are cold as they find your waist, your hands too warm on his chilled jaw.
His mouth is all soft lips and hard pressure, the faint hint of toothpaste in his taste. It’s exactly as you imagined, but better.
Lips become more desperate the longer you connect, your back suddenly against the counter as he presses into you. This moment has been building since he’d watched you first walk up the front steps with that too big moving box. A hand slips into his sun-bleached locks he always has so perfectly combed. He moans into your mouth, a sinful noise in the quiet kitchen.
Before sense can interrupt, you’re reaching for the zipper of his coat, revealing every inch of his toned pale chest as the zipper slowly comes down. You slide a hand over the skin, a low gasp slipping out at the strong muscle. You’ve been attracted to his mind for so long, it feels unfair his body should be attractive too.
He shrugs out of the barn coat and follows you to the lowly lit living room, where the couch is softer on your back than the counter edge. Sitting side by side, knees knocking, he’s more hesitant to touch you in this context. Despite his body screaming to explore every inch of his pretty neighbor’s mind and body, he knows he’s basically barged into your home and immediately stuck his tongue in your sweet mouth. You get to set the pace.
“This okay?” His hand encompasses your knee, thumb rubbing smoothly through the fabric. You nod, tilting your head toward him to continue kissing. He’s warmed up now, your home and body bringing him to temperature. Robert smiles into your kiss. You can’t get enough of him, wanting to consume him fully. He’s delicate with you in the most delicious of ways; gentle kisses pressed to your soft lips before sliding his tongue across to politely ask for access.
Your mouth can’t open fast enough.
You place you hand on his hip, enjoying the warm skin and lean muscle beneath your fingertips. Groaning lightly into your mouth, he blindly reaches for your hips to bring you into his lap. His tongue takes its time to taste you, learn every intricacy of your flavor. Administration so thorough your eyes roll back in your head. The sounds escaping you music in the darkened room.
Fingers dance across skin, finding purchase on thighs, shoulders, chests. You can’t get close enough to him, resting one hand on the back of his neck as your swollen lips press harder to his. Robert loves the way your thighs straddle him as he leans against the couch cushions, his warm, large hands along your back bringing you closer to him. Your sharp inhale as one hand toys with the waistband of your lounge pants.
When his lips trail down your neck, praising the delicate skin, you can’t hold back your declaration any longer. “I…I’ve wanted this for a while.”
His lips pause, brow furrowed. “This?”
“You.”
That gratified smile will forever be imprinted along your neck. “I’ve wanted you since the day you moved in.”
The whimpers that rip through you when he nips the thin skin behind your ear have him grabbing your chin and swallowing your sounds. Reveling in the shared passion you’ve both had simmering beneath the surface. Can’t help his hips rutting up into yours, glorious friction he’s been craving satisfied. You giggle through a moan against his lips.
“So, we could have been doing this all year long? What a shame, lieutenant.”
You ground down in his lap, running your own tongue along his lips and savoring his taste. Thoughts of what he tastes like after his peppermint tea have you wrapping your arms tighter around his bare shoulders. Behind his head, outside the window, the faint glow of the Christmas lights he strung up shines in the winter night. How did you find this perfect man, and how is he your neighbor?
You express your gratitude for him with your mouth along his jaw, licking along the skin while he deliciously whimpers in your ear.You can only take so much before you’re sealing your lips over his again, inhaling his every breath.
As lips finally reach exhaustion - brains well past tired as the clock strikes a new hour - Robert and you pull apart with content smiles. Already cold without his warmth, you immediately lean back into him. He’s practically a furnace now under your ministrations. Unspoken words pass between as you invite him to sleep on your couch with you. A throw blanket produced from the nearby chair as the two of you tangle your limbs. There’s something comforting in the way he rests your head upon his arm, your knee upon his thigh. Again, it’s like your bodies know the actions like they’ve been waiting for you to finally figure them out.
You’ve just settled your head upon his warm chest when a thought strikes you, prompting you to lean up to look at those sleepy cerulean eyes. The small curious smile he gives you melting your heart.
“Did you still want your tea?”
He shakes his head with a chuckle, using the last of his energy to tuck the blanket tighter around your body. “It’s okay. I got what I really wanted.”
Your heart feels two sizes too big as he presses a kiss to your temple before sleep takes you both.
When the winter sunrise streams through your curtains the next morning, you refuse to get up. Perfectly warm wrapped up in the thin throw and your neighbor’s arms, you are purely too content. When Robert blinks open his eyes and gazes at your face, he sees the same placid smile he wore the morning before. The same one he’s had since you moved in next door.
Despite both being all too happy to remain entangled on the couch, sharing small kisses on any skin within reach, the responsibilities of Monday morning dawn and you must get up. Reluctantly you release him, watching him fold the throw neatly upon the sofa arm before helping you stand. Warmth blossoms down your spine the more you’re in Robert’s presence, the little things he does meaning so much to you. Especially as he strides through your home shirtless, musing about the whereabouts of his coat on the kitchen floor.
Your eyes flit to the cold mug of abandoned peppermint tea as you offer him coffee. But he’s intent on getting home for his flight suit, the drive to base longer than he’d like. Of course, he would ideally spend the morning drinking your expensive delicious coffee and listen to you go on about the neighbors down the street with the atrocious holiday decorations. If you’d let him, he would spend every morning like that for the rest of time. But his admiral would put him in drills all week if he was any later.
You walk him to the door, robe pulled tight across your chest to keep out the cold. He’s pulled on his boots for the short walk and wraps his arms around you in an intimate embrace, disappointed this perfect night must come to an end. You bury your nose in his jacket-covered chest to enjoy the last of his herbal and citrus scent, hands reluctantly slipping from his middle. He turns to leave and both your hearts pang.
When Robert reaches the end of your path, he bends down and picks up the paper, thrown too short as always. He turns around and retraces his steps, walking back up the steps and straight up to where you reside in the doorway still. Fingers brush as he hands you the newspaper, saving you the walk as he always does. Only this morning he tips his head to press a kiss to your lips.
You’re already adding peppermint tea to your shopping list as you walk back into the house. Just for him.

You test Johnny’s concentration while on a game with the boys.

The ceiling fan turns slowly.
You lay on your back, staring up at it, wishing that it had a faster speed. There is a slight stickiness to your skin from the humidity. It’s too early for a shower. You’ll only become gross again, and there’s no point in wasting water.
Sighing, you roll out of bed and head toward the kitchen, seeking a cold drink.
“They’re over there. Yeah. Up top.”
Johnny’s on a game. It’s amusing to you how he comes home from work only to play video games of the same vein. It’s his whole life even when at rest.
Pouring a lemonade for yourself, you causally stroll into the living room. Placing your drink on the side table, you settle into the couch next to him, tucking your feet under you. Johnny briefly glances at you, giving you his best smile before returning his attention to the game.
You watch for a bit. Listen. He usually plays with Kyle and Simon, two men you’ve only met briefly but know Johnny works with on a regular basis.
You place your hand on Johnny’s large, muscled thigh. The corner of his mouth quirks when you touch him but he doesn’t glance at you. His eyes are on the screen and his fingers are a whirlwind across the controller.
Squeezing his thigh, you settle closer to him.
“I’m not taking an L, Lt,” he says into the mic, his focus intense.
Your gaze falls to the timer on the screen. There are seconds left, and it’s clear they’re losing.
The timer goes off. Flashes. And then red lettering appears across the screen, showing Johnny’s loss. A bunch of stats appear that mean nothing to you, and then a little montage follows it.
“Bloody fucking hell,” he mutters at no one in particular.
You pat his thigh and he reaches out to squeeze your hand.
“We can’t go out on a loss,” he says. “Another round.”
Johnny glances in your direction and you smile at him, nodding. Another game isn’t a big deal. He could play several more and you really wouldn’t care. On summer evenings like this, sitting next to Johnny on the sofa is nice.
Johnny queues up another game and you decide right then that you’d like to see if he can really go out on a win.
“This is it. Last one,” says Johnny as the screen changes, his avatar operator dropping from the sky and onto a building.
You rub your hand over his thigh again, moving closer to his groin with every pass. Johnny doesn’t seem to notice, or if he does, he’s not showing it. Gently, you slide down to his inner thigh, squeezing him just beside the prize you’ll eventually seek.
This snags his attention.
Johnny shoots you a quick, cheeky grin before returning his focus to the screen. It’s not enough for him to lose concentration, and from what you can tell, his team is winning. It’s too bad you might shake the potential win out from under him.
Slowly, you lean forward, shifting slightly to slide to your knees next to him. Johnny’s gaze darts from you to the screen and then back again like he’s trying to figure you out without completely tearing his attention away.
He’s shirtless right now, still a little glossy with sweat from his workout. Johnny has that delicious, masculine scent that clings to him. The one that always makes you feral when he walks through the door after hard labor. His gray sweatpants hang low on his hips, and the outline of his cock is apparent.
You adjust on your knees, settling yourself between his spread legs, hands on his thighs. With back bent slightly, you go under the controller. Johnny’s gaze drops to you and then back to the screen. Keeping the controller in one hand, Johnny gently cups the side of your face before returning it to the controller.
“What are you doing?” he whispers. His gaze narrows. Glancing up, he swears. “Fuck. Bastard’s on my tail.”
Your fingers curl around the band of his sweatpants. They’re already so low. All it needs is a small tug and then you can take Johnny in hand.
Johnny reaches out again, this time grasping the side of your neck. A warning, and one you completely ignore.
His hand disappears and you slide the band down just enough to wrap your hand around him. Johnny stifles a groan and continues on like you’re doing nothing at all. With his headset on, you cannot hear what’s happening on the television. You cannot see anything either, which means you don’t know how long you have.
Can you get him off before the game is done? Or are you wasting time?
Better to be aggressive. Make this a competition. Test Johnny’s resolve.
You squeeze gently and slide up, the pad of your thumb stroking over the underside of the head. Johnny squirms but says nothing to you. He doesn’t even glance down. You won’t go all in just yet. It’s good to tease first. Make him writhe a bit.
With another stroke of your hand, you lightly run your tongue across the head, the tip parting the small slit. Johnny’s hips twitch and his jaw clenches, but he remains focused. It’s not enough, which means you need to do more.
Running your tongue over the head again, you use your hold on Johnny’s cock to slide his cock across your tongue, in and out of your mouth without closing around him. His nostrils flare as he aggressively smashes the buttons on the controller.
This time you close your lips around him, sucking hard on the head.
Johnny groans loudly and then coughs. “I’m good,” he breathes, talking to someone in his headset. “Close call.”
You smile inwardly, and hold this position, allowing your saliva to collect while also stroking him with your hand. Johnny’s gaze darts downward and pauses. His fingers freeze on the controller.
You stare into his eyes and then throat him entirely, stopping when your lips meet your hand. Johnny’s eyelids flutter, and his lips part. Repeating the motion has him falling back against the sofa. His bare chest heaves as his fingers begin moving across the controller again. There is a slowness though. A sluggishness.
In his eyes you see the haze forming. Johnny’s concentration is slipping even as he desperately clings to control. This is your chance to seize this win from him.
Shifting your hand away from the base of his cock, you slide beneath the band of his sweatpants to cup his balls. Squeezing gently, you take him entirely into your mouth, lips almost meeting his pelvis.
You set a pace, making sure to breath through your nose. Johnny is all grunts. He’s hardly speaking into the mic anymore.
This tastes of victory.
Other than Johnny’s grunts, you can hear the click of the buttons on the controller. He’s still trying to focus, even as you feel him swelling in your palm. He’s fucking close, and you’re going to take all of it.
Hollowing your cheeks, you slide up, swirling your tongue around the head.
“Fuck,” groans Johnny, elongating the vowel.
There is a pause—an absence of clicking buttons—and you go for another pass.
Johnny chokes, grabs the back of your head, and draws you flush against him. His cheeks are flushed, mouth open slightly, gaze focused on your face. In his other hand is the controller. He’s hardly holding on to it, one side aimed directly toward the ground.
His flavor explodes on your tongue, and you drink him down. Johnny’s hold on the back of your head eases, and you slowly slide off him, revealing your empty mouth to him. The corner of his mouth twitches, and the smirk on his face startles you.
It’s self-satisfied, as if he meant for all this to happen.
Johnny laughs, gaze returning to the television screen. “Great win. Same time tomorrow?” Johnny chuckles. “Fuck off. Both of you.”
He tears off his headset and tosses it to the side. You turn around and notice the bright green lettering above the stats.
They won.
Johnny grabs your chin and guides your gaze back to him. “That was naughty.” His thumb brushes over your bottom lip and your tongue darts out for a taste.
“Fucking hell, love,” mutters Johnny. “Come here.” He draws you into his lap, claiming your mouth in a fierce kiss.
Johnny’s hands fall to your ass, he squeezes, and then comes down with a sharp slap to your ass. You yelp, but it’s smothered by Johnny’s mouth on yours.
“Bedroom,” he growls. “Now.”

hiii !! I’m absolutely loving this au so far, so audial I have a shit ton of questions about worldbuilding n such. Ty in advance for taking time to answer mine and everyone else’s questions :))
Do the kwamis at all experience the “side effects” the wielders get, since the effects the the first place are a result of the kwami and the wielders souls mixing? Or do the effects happen because of weird magical and non-magical soul mixture fuckery. Or perhaps a bit of both
Is rejecting akumas a thing in LT? You said some people think of hawkmoth as the devil, so if someone was like. Hyper-religious could they just pray the akuma away or something lmao
Has Fu wielded the Turtle in the past in LT, and if so, does he have more advanced effects?
The desc of LT mentions it’s a campy retelling of ml, but so far we’ve seen mostly horror and kinda angsty stuff. Can you say anything about the campy elements you have planned for LT? (I may have just missed them by thinking too seriously about it lol)
Nah. The kwamis are the things giving the wielders soul radiation poisoning, and besides that their sort of cosmic essence is way 'bigger' than the human soul. It would be like squeezing a singular lemon into the ocean. You can’t make lemonade that way there’s way too much water.
Not necessarily? People can overcome hawkmoth's temptations, we see it in canon, but that sort of emotional bulwark doesn't need to come from religion. People think hawkmoth's the devil because he's scary and magic.
Funnily enough, we've made the turtle the chillest kwami ever, so Fu's actually doing fine, although he does carry the marks of a wielder. Namely walking slower and having a hankering for entire heads of lettuce.
It's mostly just the sillies on the side. Luka rat eating, hivemind in the background, Fatherbot3000.

Timeless - II (Bob Floyd x Reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: Hi besties! Lil early birthday treat from me (I'm hoping to write part three on my birthday but we'll see) with part 3!
pairing: Lt. Robert Floyd x reader
warnings/content: no warnings, extra cute Bob. mutual pining, OC's mom meddling but it's cute, Bob swears like once.
word count: 1.8k
one - two -
The Taylor home was practically humming with noise as your family prepared for Thanksgiving festivities together. Your mother was in the kitchen, channeling her inner Food Network tv personality as she made the holiday meal. Your younger brother was home from college, and your teenage sister had brought a friend over for the day to meet everyone and watch the hours-long football marathon that began early in the afternoon that day, following the thanksgiving day parade. Just as the Commanders were taking on the Cowboys, your doorbell rang. Despite there being several other people in the room with you, you appeared to be the only one able to hear it ringing. You sighed and rolled your eyes as you stood up to answer the door. In your doorway stood Bob, in a football jersey and jeans, a casual look that you remembered well from high school. He laughed softly as you answered the door, a warm, friendly smile on his face.
“Hey Krissy, Ma sent me over to see if your folks wanted any pies, she made these apple pie tarts and she made enough to feed the entire naval base, but I don’t think they’d fly back with me very well.” He let out a soft chuckle and shook his head, “Although, I’d love to show Hangman what a real apple pie tastes like. He swears the ones in the store are the same thing. You’d think being from the south, he’d know better.” He laughs again, his cheeks blushing as he speaks about his current life.
“Hangman? Your friend’s name is…Hangman?”
“No, it’s a callsign, all of us have one. His real name is Jake. Then you have Bradley who goes by Rooster, Natasha is Phoenix-”
“Ok then, what’s yours?” You raise an eyebrow with your arms folded across your chest.
“Bob. I got kinda confused when they asked me when I first started…so I told them my nickname and it stuck. Although now if you ask Hangman, he tells you it stands for “Baby on Board” because I’m the youngest out of the team.” He shakes his head laughing softly before looking up at you, his deep cobalt blue eyes meeting yours. God, you could get lost in those eyes for hours.
“I’m sure my mom would appreciate them, she’s sort of up to her eyeballs in cooking right now. I think she’s aiming to compete with yours for who can make the most food,” you laugh as you step aside to let Bob in, “Come on in, we’re just watching football, Ma’s banned us all from entering her kitchen.”
Bob laughed and walked inside your family home, the home he was so familiar with as a child, where you’d play hide and seek in the different rooms, sipping lemonade on your mother’s porch swing on the veranda out front, sneaking treats upstairs to your room when you were little, hiding while you devoured them way too close to dinner time. Helping you sneak in through your bedroom window late at night after a party you weren’t supposed to be at, driving you home in his dad’s beat up old pickup truck that had a habit of always getting stuck in the mud.
Your house hadn’t changed hardly at all since your family moved in all those years ago. A coat of paint here and new furniture there and that was about it - it was almost identical to how it was when Bob was inside it last. The time he’d taken you to prom because your date canceled on you the day before. Bob had seen you crying at school and was comforting you the entire drive home that day, and he had offered to take you, because he hadn’t found a girl he’d like to ask yet. Part of you felt like Bob just felt bad for his best friend and didn’t want to see you upset, but the other part of you had hoped it was because he wanted to ask you.
“Bobby Floyd, how’re you doing? ‘Suppose we should be calling you Lieutenant now, shouldn’t we?” Your dad’s booming voice echoed through the house as he greeted Bob. Bob smiled warmly and nodded his head once as he spoke.
“I’m great, Mr. Taylor, and just Bobby is fine, I don’t really use the rank outside of work. We both know my Mama wasn’t going to be calling me Lieutenant when I got home,” Bob let out a hearty laugh as he turned to greet your younger siblings, “Wow, Megan, haven’t seen you since you were about 5 or 6, you must be like, 16 now? And Nate, Ma said you just graduated college? What did you end up going for?”
As Bob played catch-up with your dad and siblings, you quietly excused yourself to the kitchen where your mother was. You noticed your mother’s sly smirk on her face as she kneaded the pie crust she was working on.
“I hear Robert’s come to see you?” she hummed as she set the crust in the baking dish, trimming the edges as she spoke, “That was awfully sweet of him.”
“Mama, don’t start,” you warned quietly, shaking your head, “I told you, I don’t think Bobby feels that way.”
Your mother sighed and wiped the flour off her hands onto her apron, shaking her head. She gave you a pointed look. “Kristen Taylor, you know that Robert’s had eyes for you since he was six years old - don’t think that he’s changed his mind.”
“What makes you so sure? What are you, an expert in how he feels now?”
“I may not be, but I’m very good friends with someone who is. And she tells me that Robert specifically asked how you were doing and if his mama had seen you recently. You don’t ask about a girl after 10 years unless you want to see them, Kristen.” Your mother laughed softly as she put the pie in the oven. After a moment of silence while you tried to wrap your head around this new information, your mother shook her head.
“Kristen, his mama and I just want you kids to be happy. But let’s face it, he didn’t come here just to see if we wanted some extra apple pies. And his mama did not “accidentally” make too many.”
“How did you know why he was here?” You laughed and raised an eyebrow as you folded your arms across your chest, watching your mother intently as you awaited a response.
“I can’t reveal all my secrets to you now, can I, Kristen?” Your mother smiled warmly as she looked towards the doorway. You followed her gaze, turning around to face Bobby, his cheeks turning pink as he stood in the entrance to the kitchen, leaning his hip against the door frame. He pushed his glasses up on his nose, a nervous habit of his for as long as you’d known him, and smiled.
“Hi Mrs. Taylor, you look lovely, Mama wanted me to come by and see if you wanted some apple pies…but I’m guessing she called you ahead of time to tell you?” He laughed awkwardly, obviously having heard the last half of your conversation.
“She did, Robert! And congratulations, it sounds like you’ve become quite the accomplished Naval lieutenant while you’ve been gone. Your mama’s been filling me in on what you’ve been up to. She’s very proud of you, but I’m sure you know that already.” Your mother nodded her head as she smiled.
“I do, m’am, she’s very glad I’ve come home for a few days. I don’t get leave too often now with everything going on back on base, but I try to come home when I can. Last few years we just went to Texas and met halfway at my brother’s house in Austin. This year though my brother and sister have brought all the little ‘uns up here, so poor Ma’s got all 3 of us kids up here, plus my brother’s two and my sister’s two, and their partners. It’s a bit of a full house. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t glad to escape when she asked me to come by.” He laughed softly, “I love my nieces and nephews but boy, do they know how to tire you out.”
“I can imagine! Actually, while you’re here, could I steal you to help Kristen for a moment? I need the serving trays brought down from the attic, but I can’t trust Nate to carry them without dropping one, and Megan’s terrified of going up there,” your mother laughed as she discreetly shot you a smirking glance.
“Oh, I’d be happy to, Mrs. Taylor. Krissy and I’ll get them down for you.” Bob smiled as he took your hand playfully and went off upstairs with you. It felt just like old times, his hand leading you up the stairs to the attic where the two of you used to hide and play in as kids. You’d turned it into a clubhouse of sorts for the two of you growing up, a sanctuary away from the chaos of having a big family and school work and chores - a place for just the two of you.
Bob sighed happily as he looked around the attic. The two of you had so many memories of being in here together, and for you, it felt like they all came flooding back at once.
“God, I haven’t been in here in years,” he said as a soft chuckle escaped his lips, “Remember that time you hid up here when we ate all of your mama’s apple pie she’d baked for the school bake sale? She was madder than a wet hen, and we thought hiding up here would be the smartest choice. Then, sure as shit, she found us laughing and covered in apple pie filling.” He laughed again, shaking his head. “We both got grounded for that one, I think that was the first time my mama ever had to ground me, and it was because of you in the first place!”
“Hey, I didn’t make you eat it,” you laughed as you held your hands up innocently. “I just encouraged you to join me. Not my fault that you did.”
Bob shook his head and smiled thoughtfully at you, his eyes meeting yours once again. You hadn’t noticed how closely you two were standing to one another until now, your bodies only a few inches from each other, close enough to feel each other’s body heat radiating. You instinctively bit your lip - your own nervous habit, and Bob gently stroked your cheek with his hand. He pulled you in closer and smiled softly.
“God, I’ve missed you, Kristen.” He said as he gently wrapped an arm around your waist, his other hand still gently stroking your face, “I really, really missed you.”

Note
Thank y'all for coming to the potluck, I brought Brazilian lemonade and Cajun eggrolls. Hope its not too spicy.
I am not familiar with these but they sound fucking awesome.
Gabby will be eating the spring rolls with no trouble at all. She would say they're not spicy.
Then someone like Eliyah takes a bite and dies cause he has Basic White Boy Spice Tolerance.
It's actually very freaky how high Gabby's spice tolerance is.
Krow would really dig the lemonade, and enjoy the spring rolls too though his spice tolerance is nothing like Gabby's.
If other characters are there (LT, Luke, Jazzy, Mary, Camilla and Naila) they'd all be enjoying too!
Then as for what OTHERS would bring.
Krow would bring really whatever the hell he could. Probably something easy to make like a potato salad (a good one, not one of those sad, weird ones you see at white people block parties)
Gabby would bring some fry bread with various thing to put on them, as well as the most ridiculous cake (well LT brought it but she hopes to fuck someone else eats some)
Luke would bring the most AMAZING bbq pulled pork sliders. Those go quickly.
Mary (and Camilla) bring some chicken poblano enchiladas and more drinks.
Eliyah brings fucking chips and soda
Naila brings... bbq pork and shrimp fried rice.

I’ll Wait For You
2022 HBOWARDAILY Secret Santa
For @imaginesbymk
Surprise! I’m your secret Santa!
I intended to do both of your prompts but was only able to do one by the deadline, but I would be more than happy to still write the other one if you’d like
I went with the Pavuvu prompt and chose Snafu
“The reader is a Navy nurse at Pavuvu and she falls in love with Snafu. Snafu and Reader constantly flirt with each other until they're sent off to fight again. Snafu promises that if he makes it back, he'll take her out on a date back in America, and he does when it’s 1945.”
Word count: ~ 3,401

November 1944, Pavuvu
When you and the other Navy nurses first heard you’d be getting time off of the hospital ship you were stationed on, you were very happy. You were less happy about your destination, however, once you were told what it was. You’d be going to Pavuvu to offer some reprieve and help to the Marines fresh from the fight on Peleliu, which had been nothing less than absolutely awful.
You were happy to do something, anything for the morale of someone of the armed forces, Marines in this particular case. Goodness knows they needed their spirits lifted.
As you and your fellow nurses offloaded from the ship, you were greeted by a Lieutenant who directed you to his Battalion medical tent.
From there you were told that the first thing you were there to do was boost the morale of the Marines by serving them cold lemonade.
You didn’t know what to expect when you started to hand out the lemonade to the Marines. But somehow it was much worse. They looked much worse than you ever could’ve imagined they would have.
They looked at you and the other nurses. But they weren’t really looking at you. You had thought maybe one or two of them would ogle one or two of you. But none of them did. They seemed to be more occupied by their shock to your presence. They seemed to look right through you as they looked at you. It’s like you weren’t really there. They certainly couldn’t believe that you were.
You all tried to be as friendly as possible. You smiled at them but it soon faded as they stared blankly at you as they took their lemonade sullenly and passed you. They continued to stare at you and at the lemonade like they couldn’t quite believe what was happening.
One blonde Marine (his hair was so dirty and mostly hidden under his helmet that he could’ve been a redhead, you couldn’t quite tell) asked what you nurses were doing here.
“Just offering you gents something nice.” Your friend said as she offered him some lemonade.
“It’s the least we could do.” You said as you handed a cup to his friend beside him. He smiled as you and scanned your face as he took the cup from you, your hands skimming over each other for a second. He was checking you out. You were probably the first women he’d seen in a long time, so you tried not to let it bother you. And maybe he wasn’t even checking you out. Maybe he was still trying to determine that what he was seeing was really there.
“Okay, Marines. You’ve had your look-see. Now move along.”
It was the Lt. that had been supervising you. You noticed he was much cleaner and fresher than the Marines you were handing out lemonade to. He had not been on Peleliu. He was a new officer in this unit. He’d mentioned he when he met the nurses and was explaining what you’d be doing.
The two Marines in front of you and your friend looked at him like they’d been looking at you. Like he was a stranger, something alien, almost. And that was understandable from their perspective. They’d just been fighting months. And they’d finally be getting a reprieve again here in Pavuvu. And one of the first things that happens is they get razzed by their Lt. for looking too long at the nurses, something they hadn’t really even been doing. They were exhausted. They deserved a little slack anyway.
The Lt. soon realized his mistake and his smirk disappeared from his face. The two Marines drank their lemonade quickly and moved on from the line. You and the nurses continued to hand lemonade out to the marines, but that incident stuck with you for the rest of the day.
The next day, you got the next assignment for Pavuvu. You’d be assisting the corpsman in reevaluating the medical situation. They’d lost a few medical personnel on Pavuvu and there were still soldiers with injuries not major enough to get them evacuated to a field hospital, but bad enough to have to be looked after by the corpsmen. You were to assist with that as well.
And it’s not like Pavuvu didn’t present a completely safe environment for the marines. There were two or three in everyday about minor injuries sustained from crab pinches as well as other things not related to combat but inescapable as long as they were in the South Pacific.
A little while after you had settled into working with the medical staff on Pavuvu, the Marine you’d given lemonade to on your first day wondered into the tent. He scanned the tent until his eyes landed on you. He scrunched his nose in confusion for a second before recognition seemed to dawn on him. He made his way towards you.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Is it medically related?”
“Yes.”
“Then yes.”
“Are my eyes yellow?” He took a step closer to you, too close for your comfort, so you took a step back.
“Why don’t you have a seat and I’ll take a look?”
“Thank you.” He smiled as he sat on a raised cot.
You smiled back before you gathered some supplies and stood before him. You shined a flashlight in his eyes, which made him wince and look away from you.
“You’re going to have to let me look at your eyes if I am to determine whether or not you have jaundice.”
“Why you gotta shine that light in my eye?”
“Because it’s dark in here and it allows me to see better.”
“What if I can’t see?”
“You’re not the one trying to determine if someone has jaundice.”
“That light’s gonna blind me, doll.”
“Not if it’s just for a few seconds.”
You grabbed his jaw and moved his face so he was looking at you. You shined the light in his eyes briefly before putting the flashlight away, all the while still holding his head still. He took notice of this.
“Your eyes aren’t yellow. Your skin doesn’t appear yellow either. I don’t think you have jaundice.”
“Are you sure?”
“Quite.”
He remained seated as you began to put away your supplies.
“Will that be all? Or was there something else?”
The marine looked at you again, more purposefully than before. His eyes scanned your face and the length of your body. He was shamelessly checking you out. And this time you were sure of it because he should’ve had enough time to get over the shock of seeing nurses.
“If there isn’t anything else…” you were getting a bit impatient with him at this point.
“You’re really pretty, you know that?” A smirk adorned his face. You didn’t know whether to kiss or smack it off. You said nothing in reply. You continued to put your supplies away and walked away from him to put them up. His eyes followed you.
“If there isn’t anything else, why’re you sticking around?”
“Cause you’re pretty.”
You rolled your eyes as you turned to face him, the smirk still on his face. No one had ever told you that you were pretty. So you didn’t really know how to respond to it.
“I’d go if I were you, before a corpsman comes in here and kicks you out.”
“I ain’t afraid of no corpsman. I’d like to see him try to kick me out.”
This statement worried you a bit. How were you going to get him out of here, then?
“Would you go if I asked you to go?”
“I’d be a shame, but I’d do anything you asked me to, boo.”
The smirk turned into a goofy smile. He was being serious. As you looked at him looking at you, you had second thoughts about asking him to leave. You wondered why that was. You hardly knew this man. You didn’t even know his name.
“I don’t even know your name. Y-you don’t even know mine. I don’t know you and you don’t know me.”
“My name’s Merriell Shelton. And I’d like to get to know you. Why don’t we start with your name.”
“Y/N L/N.”
“Pretty name for a pretty gal.”
You avoided his gaze as he continued to smile at you.
“You don’t have anything else you could be doing right now?”
“Ain’t got nothing better to do than sit right here and talk with ya, doll.”
“Great,” you muttered under your breath. He didn’t seem to catch it. He just continued smiling at you.
You continued putting supplies away. If he had nothing better to do than be here and talk to you, why shouldn’t you talk to him.
You sighed and sat beside him.
“Where are you from?”
“Louisiana. I’m Cajun.”
“I could tell.”
“How come?”
“Your accent.”
“What about you?”
“[Your hometown].”
“Is it nice there?”
“Nicer than it is here. Although I suppose anything is nicer than here.”
That got a laugh from him.
“You’re funny, too.”
“Not very.”
“Aw, don’t sell yourself short, sweetheart.”
“May I ask you why you’re so intent on complimenting me as well as getting to know me?”
Shelton shrugged.
“You’ve caught my attention, is all. I can’t really explain it. You’re sweet. You’re pretty.”
You smiled.
“Thank you. You’re pretty sweet yourself.”
“How about handsome?” He asked hopefully.
“It’s a little hard to tell. But if you had a nice shower and fresh clothes…that might be a different story.”
“I know what you mean. Looks aren’t everything, though.”
“No. They’re not.” You agreed.
“Although I can tell you’ve got looks as well as a personality.”
“As far as I know, you do too.”
“So you do think I’m handsome?” That goofy smile of his was back.
“Might as well give you the benefit of the doubt until I’m proven otherwise.”
“That’s fair enough.”
You smiled at him as he smiled at you.
Maybe Merriell Shelton wasn’t as bad as you initially thought he was.
You ended up having an extended conversation with him, actually growing to like him very much.
He would “bump” into you on as many occasions as possible while you were on Pavuvu together and you’d just talk and talk and laugh and smile. This ended up being several months. And you two had a nice back and forth going, much to the annoyance of Merriell’s friends. But he didn’t seem to care all that much about them. He cared more about you. And this surprised him. You felt different than any girl he’d ever flirted with. Were you the one for him? Baby steps. Baby steps. He hadn’t even taken you out on a date yet. And Pavuvu was no place for that. He’d have to do it when he got home…if he got home. If you’d still have him.
It was only a matter of time before he’d be sent off to storm some beach somewhere. And he was right. They would be off again very soon.
He came to see you in the medical tent before he left.
“I’m gonna be leavin’. Dunno if they’re gonna send us back here afterwards or if I’m even gonna-“
“Stop that. Don’t say that.”
“I’m sorry. I don’t wanna think about it either.”
“If I don’t see you again, look me up when you get back, ok? I’ll wait for you.”
You hurriedly grabbed a pencil and paper and wrote down your address and phone number. You folded it and put it in his pocket. You stayed close to him and kissed his cheek.
“I expect to see you again, Shelton. You still haven’t taken me out on a date. So don’t get yourself killed, alright?”
“Yes, ma’am.” He saluted you. You saluted him back.
You both stood there awkwardly for a few seconds, not quite sure what to do. You suddenly rushed forward and threw your arms around him. His arms went around your waist and he held you tightly to him. He wanted to remember everything about you while you were apart. He wanted to remember what you smelled like, what you looked like, what you sounded like.
You two just stayed like that, holding each other for the longest time before you finally pulled away. Merriell looked sadly at you until you leaned in to kiss him on the lips. He reciprocated it immediately, arms still holding you tightly to him.
“That’s to remember me by.” You said as you pulled away from him again.
The Lt. (Mac) came by and told Shelton to get his butt ready to leave. You looked at each other one more time before he finally left the tent. And you remained.
The powers that be decided that the nurses were no longer needed on Pavuvu because there were no Marines there. So they sent you back to your previous assignment when possible. You went back to your hospital ship that ended up being pulled back stateside. It became an ever increasing possibility that you’d never seen Snafu again.
You weren’t even told where he’d gone. You did later learn his division was at Okinawa, but you’d received that information far later than you’d have liked.
You wrote a couple of letters to him but you weren’t sure they ever got to him. You received nothing in reply. But Okinawa wasn’t pleasant, from what you’d read so you didn’t blame him for not having time or not being in the mood to return a letter if he got one. And you could see him not even knowing what to say in a letter to you.
Many agonizing months sitting in a ship off the coast of the US, nowhere near the South Pacific, the war was ended in The Pacific. Japan had surrendered and soldiers were being sent home.
You got discharged and were home long before any of the men from your town. There were lots of men who’d served in Europe who were already home, but those from The Pacific were slowly trickling in.
Many of these men tried to flirt with you whenever you were out and about where they could see you. But you always turned them down. Even though deep down you feared you’d never see him again, you were still holding onto that tiny sliver of hope that Merriell would come home and he’d give you a call or send you a letter letting you know he was ok and that he’d like to take you out on a date.
As the months go by, your hopes diminish. Your family and friends try to reassure you that when he’s back, he’ll come through. And you certainly hope that’s true but you can’t help having doubts.
So you hoped and hoped and hoped until finally one day you receive a letter from Snafu that was addressed to you telling you that he’s back in the States, is good to get a job and very willing to visit if you’ll still have him and take you out on a date. You actually squealed in delight. You couldn’t have run faster to grab a pencil and paper to write back if you had tried to.
You excitedly write that you’re elated that he’s home, good to get a job and especially that he’s willing to make do on his date offer. You obviously accept his offer to visit and take you out. You post the letter immediately and eagerly waited for a response, or better yet him.
A couple of weeks went by and you received no letter from Merriell. Your hopes began to deflate again. He seemed so happy in his letter. What was it about yours that would give him pause? Was your reply not enthusiastic enough? You doubted it. Was it too enthusiastic? Had you scared him off? You didn’t know if that was even possible to do.
While you continued to anxiously wait for anything from him, there was an unexpected knock on the door one day. Nobody was home except you, so you answered it. And you almost fainted.
There stood Merriell Shelton, in the flesh. The clean flesh, you might add. You were right. He was very handsome when he was bathed, had clean, brushed hair, and clean clothes. He wasn’t in uniform, having been officially discharged from the Marines. Instead, he wore jeans and a t-shirt. It was nothing fancy, but you thought it suited him and wouldn’t expect him to be wearing anything else.
“Long time no see, chérie.”
You threw your arms around him.
“Oh! I’m so happy to see you! I thought I’d never see you again!”
“I did promise you a date, didn’t I?”
You smiled.
“You did.”
“And I intend to follow through on that. Here. These are for you.”
You hadn’t even noticed the flowers he was holding. You took them from him.
“Thank you. Would you like to come inside while I find a vase for these and put them in water?”
“I would love to. Thank you, ma’am.”
Snafu followed you and stood in the living room while you went into the kitchen to look for something to put the flowers in.
“Nice place you got here.” Merriell called out to you.
“It’s not really mine. It’s my father’s house.”
You came back into the living room with a vase full of water and the flowers. You set it on your dining room table as the centerpiece. You smiled, greatly satisfied with the vase, the flowers, and the placement.
“He home?”
“No. He’s at work.”
“Oh. So you’re just home all by yourself.”
“Yes.”
“Aren’t you lonely?”
“A little, I guess.”
“Where’s your ma at?”
“She’s out shopping with her friends.”
“You didn’t go with them?”
You shrugged.
“No.”
“Why not?”
“I didn’t really feel like it.”
“If you don’t feel like going out today, we can go out another time, or just stay in.”
Your heart melted. You hadn’t seen Merriell in such a long time and yet here he was being as sweet as he ever could be. You crossed the floor to stand in front of him. You took his hands into yours.
“If I’m with you, I’m sure I won’t mind being around people as much. I didn’t want to go out before because my mom’s friends always talk to me about things like marriage and kids. And I don’t want to talk about those things.”
“We don’t have to talk about anything you don’t want to talk about. I just wanna be with you, chérie. I don’t care what we talk about.”
“Where’d you have in mind to go?”
“I noticed you got a nice park here. And it’s a nice day. Would you wanna go take a walk?”
“I would love to.”
You hadn’t gone to the park since you’d been home, even at the insistence of family and friends to get out and do something. You loved that park. You’d gone there with your parents and friends many times as a kid. And also as a teen. But it reminded you of an innocence you no longer had. It reminded you of a time you could not go back to, no matter how much you wished you could.
But with Merriell, maybe you could make new memories in this park. Memories that would replace the old ones. Maybe you could start a new chapter of your life now with him.
Not that you thought you needed a man. Especially not to heal your wounds. But Merriell was here. And you were already endeared to him. You couldn’t not pursue whatever this thing was that you two had.
As you walked out of the house and to the park a few blocks away, you walked into a new life. A life that was full of joy and wonder. He only hung around for a few days before heading back to Louisiana. But the two of you wrote often.
He made it to you a few more times before telling you the repair company he was with was willing to send him nearer to you to work. He ended up only an hour away from you and you got to see him much more often.
He eventually proposed and moved into an apartment in your town so he commuted an hour for work. When you two finally married, you moved into his apartment with him.
And you both lived happily ever after.
The End

ok
A duck walked up to a lemonade stand And he said to the man, running the stand
"Hey! (Bum bum bum) Got any grapes?"
The man said "No” and pointed a gun at the ducks face.
the duck said,
"I'll pass".
Then he waddled away. (Waddle waddle)
'Til the very next day.
(Bum bum bum bum ba-bada-dum)
When the duck walked up to the lemonade stand.
And he said to the man running the stand,
"Hey! (Bum bum bum) Got any grapes?”
man said,
“No, like I said yesterday, idiot, do you want to get shot?”
The duck said,
"Goodbye."
Then he waddled away.
(Waddle waddle)
Then he waddled away.
(Waddle waddle)
Then he waddled away
(Waddle waddle)
'Til the very next day.
(Bum bum bum bum ba-ba-dum)
When the duck walked up to the lemonade stand
And he said to the man running the stand,
"Hey! (bum bum bum) Got any grapes?
The man said,
Look, this is getting old,
and I’m started to get pissed off so now”.
The man the got up and shot the duck, but the duck has ultra instinct and jumped out of the way.
The duck just said,
"How 'bout, no."
Then he waddled away
(Waddle waddle)
Then he waddled away.
(Waddle waddle waddle)
Then he waddled away
(Waddle waddle)
'Til the very next day.
(Bum bum bum bum ba-ba-dum)
When the duck walked up to the lemonade stand
And he said to the man running the stand,
"Hey! (Bum bum bum) Got any grapes?"
The man said,
"THAT'S IT!
If you don't stay away, duck,
I'll kill your entire family!
So don't get to close!"
The duck said,
"oh well then, guess you don’t want your gun”.
the man looked at him shocked and said,
“h..how did you get my gun..”
The duck just smiled and pointed the gun at the man.
He then shot but forgot he had terrible aim so he accidentally shot a tree.
The duck said,
“oops.. well, adios!”
Then he waddled away.
(Waddle waddle)
Then he waddled away.
(Waddle waddle waddle)
Then he waddled away
(Waddle waddle)
'Til the very next day.
(Bum bum bum bum ba-ba-dum)
When the duck walked up to the lemonade stand
And he said to the man that was running the stand,
"Hey! (Bum bum bum) got any lorax?”
"What"
"Got any lorax?”
"No, why would I– what the..”
The man turned around to see the Lorax standing there near the tree the duck shot.
The Lorax said,
“okay who the fuck shot this tree?”
The duck looked around and said,
“no one.”
The Lorax just shrugged in reply and flew away while saying,
“I’m too old for this”.
The duck turned back to the confused man and said,
And one more question for you;
"Got any grapes?"
(Bum bum bum, bum bum bum)
And the man just stopped questioning his existence.
Then he started to smile.
He started to laugh. (haha funny lts reference/j)
He laughed for a while.
He said,
"Come on duck, let's walk to the store.
I'll buy you some grapes
So you won't have to ask anymore."
So they walked to the store
And the man bought some grapes.
He gave one to the duck and the duck said,
"Hmmm..No thanks. But you know what sounds good?
It would make my day.
Do you think this store
Do you think this store
Do you think this store sells any guns?”
Then he waddled away.
(Waddle waddle)
Then he waddled away.
(Waddle waddle waddle)
Then he waddled away
(Waddle waddle)

If you're still doing the little prompt game maybe Hongseok or Jaeyoon and baking cookies? 🍪
“Cookie Monster”
~Pairing: Hongseok x gn!reader
~Genre: Rotten Fluff. Established relationship
~Words: 0,8K
~Warnings: mention of food, pet names, one little (and very subtle) suggestive thought- Sorry if there are any mistakes!!
a/n: Hi Anon! Thank you so much for the request! Sorry for the wait, I hope you like it. I ended up writing about Hongseok because of his love for Cookie Monster lol. Plus, I missed writing about Pentagon!!
~Foxy🦊
>Request your scenario here<
~Masterlist~
----------
Hongseok likes your cookies.
Ok, maybe 'like' was an understatement. He LOVES your cookies.
He loves them so much, that even on a strict diet, he'd ask you to bake him the most diet-like cookies you've ever seen. You weren't sure if oats and bananas mixed together counted as a cookie.
He would brag to the other members that your cookies were the best in the world, but at the same time, he wanted to gatekeep, eating all of them before the members could get a taste. This was why you called him your cookie monster.
y/n 💕- Hey cookie, could you pick up a bag of chocolate chips on your way home pls?
hong 🍪- Sure honey. I'm on my way
y/n 💕- Thanks, you're the best 🫶
----------
When Hongseok reached home, you had already put all the ingredients in a bowl and had the oven on for preheating. Coming from behind and wrapping his arms around your waist he announced "I'm home. With your choco chips"
You spun around and wrapped your arms around his neck, pecking him on the lips. "You're a lifesaver, thanks babe. Now put those muscular arms for good use and help me hand mix these, please." You both chuckled as he moved to the toilet to wash his hands.
This wasn't the first time you baked together, but for Hongseok it always felt like it was. The domestic scene of you preparing trays with a baking sheet while he hand-mixed the cookies made his heart swell. He hoped that things would stay like this in the future.
When he was done you moved to get two ice cream scoopers so you both could scoop the dough into balls. Looking at the dough it was tempting to eat a little, but Hong refrained from it, remembering about the flour and raw eggs. When one of the trays was full, you moved it to the oven, while Hong kept on scooping the rest into the other tray until the dough ended.
With all the cookies in the oven, you're able to finally give attention to your boyfriend
"How was your day handsome?" You said handing him a cup of lemonade and sitting by his side on the sofa
"It was good. Went to the gym, had a shower there, and then I went to my mom's house. She wanted help with building a new cupboard she bought. The manual was really confusing..." You let him ramble about how his day went, but couldn't help but daydream about him. He was the perfect boyfriend. Caring and sweet, he liked pets, he helped his mom a lot... He even helped elderly people! You once saw him helping the old lady from the floor above you, by carrying her groceries from her car to the elevator.
"You're not listening to me"
"I am baby" you responded quickly
"Yeah sure, what was I talking about?" he smirked
"Oh well! let me check the cookies!!"
He laughed at your antics as you sprinted to the kitchen.
----------
When the cookies were done he helped you put them over a grid to cool down. You pulled out a pretty paper box and covered the bottom with a cute paper towel.
Hong extended his hand to grab a cookie but you were faster, grabbing his wrist
"Babe, these are not for you" You said while trying to contain your smile
"What!? Are you kidding me, sweetie?" He said incredulous
"These," You began sorting them out while checking if any of them were damaged "are for Shinwon! You bragged so much about my cookies that he asked a box of them for his birthday!" You said with enthusiasm even though your boyfriend glared at you.
"Really? Shinwon? Can't believe my baby tricked me into baking cookies for Shinwon" he said sulking
"Oh come on Hong! We made them together! I bet they taste amazing with all the love we poured into it!"
"Whatever... You're lucky I love you. Tricking me like this..."
"Let me make it up to you" You said wrapping your arms around his waist, which he quickly reciprocated by wrapping his own arms around your shoulders.
"Yeah? What will you do about it?" he said smirking, which received a light smack from you
"You dirty. Let me cook for you. Dinner's on me tonight"
"Ok sweetie, I'll be expecting a full-course meal! And cookies"
"Don't worry my sweet cookie monster, It'll be the best you've ever had!"
And even though you promised to make dinner, as the sweet gentleman he is, helped you prepare the food. Indeed the best thing that ever happened to you was Hongseok.
Extra: Shinwon liked the cookies so much that he talked about them for a whole two weeks, making all the Pentagon members crave them. All of them asked you to bake them some cookies (without Hongseok knowing since he would steal them), and even Yanan made you promise to bake him some when he came back to Korea

Long Time No Date?
Soap loved you dearly and knew you were the one for him. Ever since you moved on the base, only reason was because Soap was worried something would happen to you while he was gone. What better way to protect you than to bring you along with him to the military base. Guarded 24/7, if he asks for an update (which he will) someone would come by and have a conversation with you, nothing to obvious, but enough that you are annoyed to the point that say, "Tell Johnny Bear, 'Mommy misses you'," with such a seductive tone. The funny thing is, everyone on the force is scared of you in someway shape or form. Ghost walks on eggshells around you even. If Ghost is scared, something would have happened to make him scared. What made the almighty Ghost scared? He was over ready to take Johnny away for a boys night. The poor soulless man stepped on y/f/f (your fav flower) bed. Soap stopped dead at the crunch.
"Sorry mate," he said to his mate looking at his the smushed flowers. Soap looked down at your flower bed, gulped hard. Looking up into the sky while sighing. "Um, well, hehe, yeah um. Sorry not sorry Lt." he whispered. You watched as he stepped on the bed, expecting him to step over it like anyone else. Nope, he didn't. The only thing he saw was you, in a full sprint towards the grown men. Soap walked in front of Ghost, to hopefully soften the blow; only for him to be push out the way, the rest of his team was waiting for them. They got a show alright. You 5'1 and a half, weighting about 160lbs, gracefully tackle this 6'2 man that is pure muscle to the ground. Johnny had to pull you off of him, which lucky for him you did with ease. He apologizes to ghost as he carried you back into the house.
"Bill, I'm serious, same tone, word for word. Don't disappoint me" You smiled. All Bill did was nodded as you chuckled and he sped walked off your doorstep, making sure to not step on any flowers and follow the premade path. Walking back inside the lovely home you share. Lemonade watching from the opening of his rock hide. "Hey, little man," you smiled at him. The yellow blob calmly walked out from the rock towards you asking for sky bugs. "Hungry huh?" you smirked while you fed him some roaches.
--Johnny's POV--
Me and Lt were in the ring, fighting for fun. The rest of the team watched; the loser would be replaced with someone new. "You've had the top for too long mate" I said hopping from foot to foot. "Come on Johnny" Simon smirked. All of a sudden Bill runs in through the doors panting like crazy. He lifted a finger to say something, nothing; tried again. Nothing just heavy breathing. That is when Price spoke up, "What is it," he questioned. "T-they said" as he cleared his throat standing straight looking at Soap "Johnny Bear, mommy misses you~" Bill cooed. I looked at him in shock, perfect opening for Simon; and sadly he took the chance to punch my cheek that sent me to the floor.
I sat up holding my jaw as I moved it around slightly. "Jesus Lt" I spat standing up to get out of the ring. Once I stood in front of Bill, "They made you say that?" He nodded. They know just what to do to turn me on. I'm a mamas boy after all. I stepped outside pulling my cell out to call them,
Me: Hey babe~
You: Hi sexy~
Me: Um, do you want to go out sometime soon?
You: Yes! I have some new pieces 😉 waiting for you once we get home~
Me: Can't wait! Ill pick you up at 6pm
You: See you then
I made sure to do my best at training, my reward was to see my baby for dinner and underneath me. A smile plastered on my face the entire time I go punched, kicked, thrown, shot at w rubber bullets, everything. I got weird stares but that's just how things go, they think that just because you are crazy and crazy strong, that I'm in a bad situation. I'm not, they car for me all day everyday. Yes they upset me sometimes but that is always rare.
--Fast Forward--
I finally make it home; getting out of the jeep to walk up to the door dressed nice and ready to see their beautiful face. I had y/f/f in front of me as I knocked. Once you opened the door, I smiled. "Hello, sweetheart, these are for you~" I smirked. You took them from me and to a wiff. I hold my hand out for you to grab, your soft hand compliment my callused hands. We sit down at our table looking at each other. "I love you outfit" I smiled rubbing my thumb over the top of your hand.
"So, Johnny. How was your day?" you asked, I smiled wider. "Better now, I'm very pent up right now~." You blushed at my comment. The waiter walked up to us smiling, "What can I get you to drink, anything to start with?" I asked for a Whiskey sour while you ask for a martini extra dirty and extra olives. "I'd like to start of with the mozzarella sticks", "And I'll have a shrimp cocktail please." The waiter smiled and walked away to grab what we asked for. My phone rings in the middle of our dinner, I decline it. One missed call, one voicemail and a few texts. Just looking at my phone for a second Johnny, we need you back on base like tonight. I sighed as I looked at you with a sour face. "What?" "Baby, you know I love you right?" "Uh huh?" I let out a longer sigh, "They need me back on the base tonight. . ." Your worried face turning into anger. "You're kidding right?" I shook my head, "They said they will kill me if I'm not on base tonight"
You look me dead in the eyes, "I'm going to kill them, then I'm going to kill you" you snarled, I chuckled and spotted the waiter, "Ooh. Sexy. Do you think you could wait until after we eat the appetizers? I've got mozzarella sticks coming."
Prompt by @quick-otp-prompts on Tumblr: "I'm going to kill you." "Ooh. Sexy. Do you think you could wait until after we eat the appetizers? I've got mozzarella sticks coming."

open for business - a café themed genshin event!
Tumblr media
breaking news: local fanfic writer mywifealhaitham or better known as elyse is close to 100 followers! with the increase in budget she has decided to open a Café here in tumblrtown!
yes that's right, I'm so close to 100 followers! I know it isn't alot especially compared to some blogs but I'm super greatful nonetheless! I really appreciate every like and reblog I get on my writings. I wanted to do something cute for you all as a token of gratitude <3
you notice a brand new building in the vacant spot that once held another store. this building has been redecorated in pink and white tiles, with a matching wooden patio decorated in fairy lights and flowers. on the windows you see a messily painted banner with the words now open for all! your mesmerized by the place, the pink building is very alluring afterall - will you enter to see what's in store? (rules and prompts under the cut)
⛾ how to request !
• it's very simple, just send in a ask requesting what menu item (prompt) you'd like along with the character • feel free to send in more detailed requests on how you want the reader • I'll have these requests open until; April 14th ! so make sure to order before then
⛾ - rules !
• any type of reader • mention if you want it normal (character giving) or blended (character receiving) • only one character per request • up to 3 prompts are allowed • no heavy angst or smut • mention if it's platonic or romantic (if nothings mentioned I'm assuming it's romantic) • platonic for little kids unless stated reader is their age
⛾ - menu prompts !
୨୧ - nighttime tea in which you and character stay in bed alot longer than anticipated. both of you aren't complaining when your in eachothers arms and tangled up in cozy sheets
୨୧ - raspberry tea my personal favorite drink to go with my favorite scenario, comfort! if your ordering this drink please mention what you would like comfort for (darker topics like self-harm, eating disorders and suicide are allowed in moderation)
୨୧ - peach pineapple lemonade everyone's favorite - a good summer vacation episode! this can range from making sandcastles with the character, or maybe a quick makeout session with the character in the pool, maybe even a summer party! I'll take anything that people would normally do during summer
୨୧ - hot cocoa to contrast with the cool feeling that the peach pineapple lemonade provides you can order a hot cocoa or a winter fic! just like the summer one you can request anything normally done in winter such as playing in the snow or relaxing by the fireplace
୨୧ - pomegranate smoothie a classic date fanfic! were you and said character spend the day together either basking in eachothers company or causing chaos throughout the town, the choice is yours!
୨୧ - berry blast slushie most of the time berry flavored things have alot of flavors combined which can get overwhelming so a good relaxation day can cure it! when you order this you and character will take a well deserved day off! maybe you two can do skincare routines or maybe even bathe together
୨୧ - espresso swirl when you order this you're asking for a au! I'll do just about any au ranging from vampires to high-school. try not to make the au too specific because it makes it a bit harder for me
୨୧ - sweet n' sour lemonade lemonade start off as sour and with some sugar it can become a sweet and delicious drink! another thing that starts sour and sometimes turns out sweet is jealousy! here you can ask for either reader or character being jealous and getting some extra love after
୨୧ - vanilla and cinnamon coffee vanilla and cinnamon are some of my favorite flavors, they remind me of fall walks and encountering some cute animals along the way! imagine you and character peacefully walking when a kitty starts rubbing your leg, whatever shall you do!
୨୧ - make your own! since I'm not the most creative if you have any ideas that branch off of one of the prompts above your free to request that! you're also free to freely request any prompt that comes to mind! maybe if it's good enough I'll add it to the menu
